The SGA is the campus organization that represents the interest of all Wake Tech Community College students. Each curriculum student enrolled at Wake Tech is required to pay the Student Administration Fee; therefore, each person is a member of the Wake Tech SGA, and is governed by its rules and regulations. The constitution of the SGA is the basis for fulfilling our commitment to serve as a liaison between the faculty and administration and our students.

Hey!! My name is Nicole Castillo and I will be your SGA President for the 2024-2024 academic year. I am originally from Peru, but I have lived all over the United States. I moved to North Carolina six years ago and have called NC my home since! I am currently in my second full year at Wake Tech and am working toward receiving my Associate in Science degree. After Wake Tech I plan to transfer to a 4-year university to pursue studies in Biomedical Engineering. So far, I have greatly enjoyed my time at Wake Tech. Being an Early College student, Wake Tech seemed daunting at first. But now, I am immersed in the opportunities that have been provided through the College and do not fear becoming involved. Because of the exciting things I have been able to take part in at Wake Tech, it is my goal to help other students become aware and involved with the enriching opportunities Wake Tech has to offer.  It is an honor to be a part of the Student Government Association and I look forward to serving and representing you all as President this year.

Hey everyone! My name is Carolina Cano Moreno and I am the SGA Secretary for 2024 - 2024. I was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, and I moved to North Carolina in 2014. I am currently obtaining an Associate in Engineering, and I plan to transfer to NC State for Aerospace Engineering or Hochschule Rhein-Waal (an engineering college in Germany). Wake Tech has shown me that there is always a way to learn and progress regardless of any circumstance; and I would like to contribute to making this possible for anyone who shares the same dream. My main goal is to be able to reach to the students who are not as involved with their campus, so that everyone is aware of the countless resources that are provided for students’ success. I am extremely excited to be a part of the SGA executive board, and I cannot wait to be able to meet many amazing people throughout the school year.

Hello, my fellow students! My name is Henrry Vivar-Gomez. I am the Student Government Association’s Public Information Officer (PIO) for the 2024 -2024 academic year. I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am currently in the Associate of Arts program at Wake Tech and I am planning to transfer to UNC-Chapel Hill in order to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During my time at Wake Tech, I have met many admirable, ardent friends and professors, who are always willing to help me in my time of need. It is an honor to serve as a member of SGA’s Executive Board, where I have the opportunity to work with the student body, to implement my skills and to contribute new ideas to student activities. My goal as the PIO is to improve the relationship between students, Wake Tech’s faculty, and SGA through SGA’s social media and events.
